Show
“We’ve had more than twenty years of flower show experience – the earliest ones were just presentations of resident plants that they lovingly cared for in their rooms during the year. They put them on display, and area gardeners voted “best of show”, etc. As the “show” grew – we’ve involved more and more people from the greater community – artists and craft vendors, food courts and contests – for young and old alike. Through it all, we’ve kept the “resident” emphasis, however – and plants the residents raise themselves are ALWAYS a central part of the display area. We also invite area homes and other Retirement Communities to participate in a “theme-centered” contest – where their own residents create something to enter into the Inter-Home Competition category.
