Peter Becker Community appreciates on the kindness of others in assisting our residents to lead the best quality of life possible. There are several ways for you, your corporation or foundation to make a difference in a resident's life.

You Can Help by Donating Through:
Annual Giving: Include gifts to enhance the overall operations of our community. It may go to pay the utility bills or overtime salary for nurses, or to the cost of a new wheelchair van. In short, unrestricted donations go where the organization deems it is needs it most.
Unrestricted Giving: You may give to enhance the overall operations of our community. Your gifts will be used to help us provide the highest quality of life possible for those we serve. Your unrestricted gift allows us to use the funds where they are most needed.
Restricted Giving: You may restrict your gift to a specific program, fund or capital item. Choices might include a gift to the endowment fund, dollars to help purchase a new wheelchair van, or even to buy new table linens for the dining room. Our

Benevolent Fund: Contributions help to provide care for our residents whose financial resources have been depleted. Gifts provide the security of knowing that residents have a home for life regardless of their financial situation.
Planned Giving: Giving through this program can help you meet your own financial plans and goals while helping
Peter Becker, too. Some examples of planned gifts include charitable annuities, wills and bequests, lead trusts, life insurance, stocks and securities. Check with your financial advisor as to what benefits you can gain by providing PBC with this type of gift.
Matching Gifts: Please check with your employer. Many organizations offer to double or even triple your personal gift. Some employers offer this benefit to retirees, too.

The Annual Flower Show: The highlight of our special events calendar is our flower show held every year in mid March..

, Director of creatively directs a group of hard-working and artsy residents known as "The Flower Show Gang" to paint sets and create floral displays that you would have to go to the big city to see the likes of. Creativity is at work at this event that is open to the public.
This event connects PBC with the greater community through its incredible displays, and friendly competitions including; a senior art show, a coloring contest, an inter-home floral competition, and its traditional resident plant submissions. The three day event also features a bake sale, crafters, vendor displays, entertainment and community tours. A small donation is usually requested at the door.
The Annual Benevolent Fund Dinner: Held each May, asks for donations toward providing care for those who can no longer afford to pay for it themselves.
The Annual Golf Outing: Held the on the first Monday in October. A day of fellowship and golf combines to generate funds toward providing services for residents of Peter Becker Community.
Volunteerism: Peter Becker Community is indebted to the overwhelming dedication of our volunteers who collectively devoted almost 20,000 in support of our mission. This is a wonderful way to give to PBC. Contact

The PBC Auxiliary: The objective of the auxiliary is “to develop with the membership of all the churches affiliated with PBC, a deep interest in the welfare of senior citizens and to organize and unite the services of the supporting congregations for the physical comfort and spiritual welfare of the members of the PBC family.” Contact Cindy Hollis, Volunteer Coordinator, for details.
The Thrift Shop: Located in the Campus Center, this very busy second-hand shop is operated by the volunteers and residents of the community. When you purchase your "fabulous finds" from the shop - the proceeds directly benefit residents.
Maple Corners Gift Shop: Located in the New Maplewood Center, this shop carries unique gifts, cards, and snacks and is open to the general public daily except Sunday. Your purchases support varying resident services.
Ridgeview Gift Shop: Located in the Campus Center, this shop is also known for it's unique blend of gifts and great buys. Proceeds are used support resident services.
