Flowers, Fairy Tales and Fantasies
Annual Flower Show - March 11-14
March 11-13, 2010
Doors Open Thursday for Senior Appreciation Day - 10am - 4pm
Friday - 9am - 7pm  & Saturday 9am - 4pm

The creative team that puts together the main exhibit of our annual flower show is already working on ideas and concepts for the 2010 show. Next year's theme is Flowers, Fairy Tales and Fantasies! The inspiration came from many sweet memories of grandparents reading to grandchildren on their laps. The show will be based on the experience of sharing stories from generation to generation through classic stories like Rapunzel, Jack & Jill, Jack & the Beanstalk, the Little Old Woman Who Lived in a Shoe and Pinocchio. It's a great theme! Everyone will find something to embrace.

The three day event will not be held until early spring, but plans are being made for the larger set peices now. You can also count on Peter Becker's Flower Show Event for: Good Food - Craft and Vendor Show - Seminars - Gift Shops - Thrift Shop Sale - Spring Plant Sale - Art Exhibits - Making of the Show Exhibits -Tours -  Lots of Beautiful Flowers.

Annual Benevolent Fund Dinner
This year's Benevolent Fund Dinner helped those within the community who can no longer to afford to pay for the services they recieve. An elegant dinner was enjoyed by more than 150 guests. Each guest donated least $125 as an act of kindness toward the benevolent fund. Two special presentations were made. A check in the amount of $15,000 was presented by Carolyn Bechtel, President of The Auxiliary. A check for $9,011.01 was presented by Doug Graham, The Director of Pastoral Services, representing contributions from the Sunday service attendees. All contributions are greatly appreciated. Many other contributions in various sizes were recieved toward the benevolent fund. The Entertainment was the Dave Kenney Trio - "An Evening of the Music We Remember” - Featuring George Gershwin, Cole Porter and many others. Those who attended enjoyed a wonderful dinner, terrific company, and beautiful music in support of a great cause. Contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
