Statement of Non-Discrimination Peter Becker Community is an independent, non-profit corporation, related to the Church of the Brethren denomination. The goal of the founders of Peter Becker Community has been and continues to be “The establishment of a total life care community based on Christian principles which provide program, care, housing and preservation of dignity to any aging person.” As a result, Peter Becker Community has developed specialized abilities to meet the care and spiritual needs of those age 55 and older in the independent living, personal care and long term care portions of the community. Within these abilities and in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations, no person shall be excluded from participation in, be denied benefits of, or otherwise be subject to discrimination in the provision of employment or of any care or service.

II. Non-Discrimination in Service Delivery.
Peter Becker Community is an independent, non-profit corporation, related to the Church of the Brethren denomination. As a result, Peter Becker Community has developed specialized abilities to meet the care and spiritual needs of the age 55 years and older in the independent living and health care center portions of the community. Within those abilities and in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations, no person shall be excluded from participation in, be denied benefits of, or otherwise be subject to discrimination in the provision of any care or service. Program services shall be made accessible to eligible disabled persons through the most practical and economically feasible methods available. These methods include, but are not limited to, equipment redesign, the provision of aids, and use of alternative service delivery locations. Structural modifications shall be considered only as a last resort among available methods. The non-discrimination in service delivery provisions set forth above apply to attending physicians, professional nursing staff and all other employees. These provisions also apply to admission, room assignments and transfers.
