 Anabaptist Providers Group and Covenant Health Network to form Joint Venture 

Recently the Board of Anabaptist Providers Group met and approved moving ahead with the formation of a joint venture partnership with Covenant Health Network. The new joint venture will be known as the Covenant Health Alliance of Pennsylvania (CHAPa).

The purpose of the joint venture will be to develop an integrated post-acute care delivery system which will assure strong partnerships with health systems and payers, demonstrate improved health outcomes, increased patient/client/resident satisfaction and reduced overall cost of care.

Anabaptist Providers Group is an organization formed in 2001 with members from The Fellowship of Brethren Homes and Mennonite Health Services located in central and eastern Pennsylvania. It has as its mission to encourage Christian service; enhance the development of each member organization; and create a strengthening network of Anabaptist ministries.

The integrated post-acute care delivery system to be developed by the joint venture with Covenant Health Network will include thirteen founding members from the Anabaptist Providers Group and be positioned to invite affiliate members to also participate in the services being delivered. The thirteen founding members include: Brethren Village, Countryside Christian Community, Fairmount Homes, Frederick Living, Garden Spot Village, Lebanon Valley Brethren Home, Living Branches, Menno Haven, Peter Becker Community, Rockhill Mennonite Community, Tel Hai Retirement Community, United Zion Retirement Community, and Valley View Retirement Community.

Covenant Health Network, based in Phoenix Arizona, is a non-profit Post-Acute Integrated Delivery System, encompassing 91 senior care facilities in four states, serving more than 14,000 seniors each day. It owns and operates a full spectrum of post-acute service lines, 2

including home health, hospice, LTC pharmacy, comprehensive rehab, palliative care and care transitions management.

The goal of the joint venture is to transform a strong network of not for profit providers, committed to high quality and care for senior adults into a strong integrated care delivery system, supporting the dynamic and changing health care environment of central and eastern Pennsylvania while extending and strengthening their mission.
