When researching senior living communities, you’ve probably come across the term “CCRC.” This means “Continuing Care Retirement Community.”

As a special type of retirement community, CCRCs, also known as Life Plan Communities, provide a continuum of care for individuals throughout their lifetime, from maintenance-free Residential Living to on-site Personal Care, Memory Care, Rehabilitation, Skilled Nursing and Hospice Care, each with its own amenities.
